Australia declares at 519 runs against Pakistan
Australian team has declared their first inning with 519 runs on the board for loss of 8 wickets at the second day of the third test match against Pakistan at the Bellerive Oval in Hobart on Friday.
Australia today resumed their inning from overnight score of 302 runs for loss of 3 wickets and skipper Ricky Ponting smashed (209) brilliant double hundred. Michael Clarke also batted brilliantly and he scored 166 runs.
Australian wicket-keeper Brad Haddin also contributed 41 runs with bat. D Kaneria was the most successful bowler for Pakistan, who took three wickets, while M Asif and M Aamir chipped in with two wickets each. Umar Gul also took important wicket of Shane Watson.
Australian team is leading the test matches series 2-0 and Pakistan will have to win this match to stay alive in the series.
Pakistan has dropped wicket-keeper Kamran Akmal after his poor keeping in the second test match, which resulted into their defeat in the match. Sarfraz Ahmed has replaced him in the Pakistan squad.
