Indian young tennis sensation Yuki Bhambri and Prakash Amritraj have stormed into the second round of the qualifying round of Chennai Open after winning their respective first round matches on Saturday.

The 17-year old Yuki ousted his compatriot Virali Murugesan in straight sets 7-5 6-4 to move to the next round. Yuki’s serve was broken twice by Virali but Yuki came back strongly to race away with the match.

Prakash defeated 390th ranked Vishnu Vardhan 7-5 6-3 in the first round. Prakash also struggled against Vishnu as his serve was broken 6 times by Vishnu. Yuki will now take on Ukraine's Illya Marchenko in the second round today while Prakash will lock horns with Peter Polansky.

Among the other Indians, Sanam Singh crashed out after losing to the fourth seeded Marsel Ilhan of Turkey while Rohan Gajjar went down to sixth seeded Peter Polansky in straight sets in the first round.
