Mahindra Satyam inks deal with SAAB

Mahindra Satyam inks deal with SAAB IT firm Mahindra Satyam has entered into a tie-up with Swedish defence and aerospace firm SAAB to develop its operations in India for the global defense and the homeland security market.

The multi-year collaboration will enable Mahindra Satyam to build up its operations in India for the global defense and homeland security market. In addition, the deal will also allow the companies to jointly address the Battlefield Management System (BMS) for the Indian Army

It should be noted that Mahindra Satyam and Saab have already initiated the setup of a centre of excellence for network centric warfare (CoE-NCW), which will offer comprehensive skills. The deal is estimated in the range of $400-500 million.
