Jeev crashes out of WMPC

Jeev crashes out of WMPCIndian star golfer Jeev Milkha Singh has crashed out of Volvo World Match Play Championship (WMPC) in Casares, Spain as England’s Fisher defeated him in the final of qualifying round on Friday.

Fisher registered one-hole victory over Jeev and Englishmen Lee Westwood tie with Colombian Camilo Villegas helped him to make into the last four of the tournament. Fisher will now face Masters Champion Angel Cabrera of Argentina in the 36-hole semifinal.

American Anthony Kim has also booked his berth in the semifinals even after losing to Australian Scott Strange by three holes. Kim was once playing at four down at the 18th hole, while Strange carded six birdies in the eight holes.

But, Kim scored a three wood from more than 250 yards within 10 feet of the pin followed by an eagle as compared to Strange's score of par five on the second shot to make into next round. Kim will now clash with Aussie Robert Allenby in the other semifinal.
