BCB announces squad for Zimbabwe ODI series

BCB announces squad for Zimbabwe ODI seriesThe Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has today announced their 14-member squad for the ODI series against Zimbabwe to be played from 27th October to 5th November in Bangladesh. Shakib Al Hasan has been named as skipper of the host team.

 All-rounder Mashrafe Mortaza is dropped from the team due to knee injury. Mortaza has been advised to rest for four weeks as he had undergone surgery on both knees in August in Australia.

Abdur Razzak and Shahadat Hossain are included in team while four players Imrul Kayes, all-rounder Mehrab Hossain Jnr, pacer Syed Rasel and Mahbubul Alam, who played in the ODI series against Zimbabwe in August, have been dropped.

Razzak had missed last Zimbabwe tour in August after suffering hamstring pull. Bangladesh had crushed Zimbabwe 4-1 in that ODI series.

Dhaka will host first three matches on October 27, 29 and 31 while last two ODI matches of the five one day matches series will be played at Chittagong on November 3 and 5.
