Lehmann back in goal for Stuttgart after suspension
Stuttgart - Former Germany goalkeeper Jens Lehmann is expected to be back in goal for VfB Stuttgart at Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday after a match suspension by his club.
Lehmann had been suspended for Stuttgart's midweek cup match at third division Luebeck for disciplinary reasons after he failed to inform the Bundesliga club about a visit to the Munich beer festival.
"Jens has accepted that he did not set a good example. For us the matter is now over," Stuttgart general manager Horst Heldt said Thursday.
Lehmann, 39, was photographed at the Munich festival on Saturday after Stuttgart crashed 2-0 at home to then bottom club Cologne.
The keeper earlier this week said he accepted the suspension, saying the visit was part of a long-planned charity event but that he forgot to tell the club. dpa
