London, Sept 23 : Men knew it all along. And now, a new UK research has confirmed it: Parking the car is a crunch moment for women.

A survey, carried out by insurers elephant. co. uk, found that women are much more likely to struggle to park their cars.

The study found that 75 per cent of female drivers are likely to get in a spin if someone is watching them park compared to 47 per cent of men, reports The Daily Express.

And 22 per cent of women said they could rarely or never parallel park compared to just nine per cent of men.

The survey found that 28 per cent of women had asked someone else to park for them compared to 12 per cent of men.

Brian Martin, elephant. co. uk managing director, said: “Our research shows just what a problem many motorists have with parallel parking. I think it’s something most people don’t like to admit to their friends, especially men.

“There is a definite difference between genders and their attitude to parking. Some people claim that generally women are not so ­spatially aware as men. This would certainly play a part in being able to park comfortably.

“The women we questioned were far more willing to admit they have trouble doing it. Nearly three times as many women say they’ve been unable to park.” (ANI)
