Two BSF jawans injured in cross border firing in JammuAkhnoor, (Jammu and Kashmir) Sep 18 : At least two Border Security Force (BSF) jawans were injured last night in a cross border firing from the Pakistani side.

However, the jawans foiled an infiltration bid by terrorists along the Indo -Pak international border at Akhnoor sector in Jammu region.

The Indian security agencies suspect that the fire from across the border was possibly a cover fire for a group of terrorists who were trying to cross the border.

The firing continued intermittently till late in the night.

The security has been beefed up along the border in Jammu region after receiving intelligence reports that over 60 militants are ready to cross the border. (ANI)
