Sri Lanka will take on New Zealand in the first match of one day tri-series at Colombo on Tuesday. Sri Lankan team had won the test match series by 2-0 and they will be looking to win this match to start their camping in the tri-series on a positive note. However, Sri Lankan team lost the two T20 matches against New Zealand.

Sri Lankan team will heavily rely on their spinning attack. M Muralitharan and A Mendis will be their keys to success in the match against Kiwis.

Indian team will join later as third team in the series. Indian team will start their campaign on 11th September and the final match of the tournament will be played on 14th September.

Indian team will be looking to reach at the no 1 position in the ICC ODI rankings. Indian team led by skipper M Dhoni will have to win the tri-series to place themselves at the top position.
