Washington  - A six-seater plane crashed minutes after takeoff in Oklahoma Saturday killing five people, Fox News reported.

The single-engine Piper reportedly hit a cable attached to a telecommunications tower after it took off amid rain and fog, police said.

The Dallas-bound plane crashed in an Oklahoma park, breaking into several pieces before bursting into flames. The victims included two men, a woman and two girls. (dpa)
