Mantri Developers pockets the KPL title sponsorshipSouth India's leading real estate company has bagged the title sponsorship rights for the Karnataka Premier League (KPL) which will be held in Mysore from September 9 to 23.

Mantri Developers paid a huge amount of Rs 11.11 crore to win title sponsorship for KPL for next five years and now this tournament will be called as Mantri Developers KPL.

Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) Secretary Brijesh Patel said that this tournament would give opportunity to youngsters to prove their talent and this domestic T20 tournament has been receiving worldwide support.

He added that the fund raised through the KPL would be used for developing infrastructure in various districts of their state so that proper training facilities could be provided for youth.

The KPL will feature eight teams and 31 matches will be played in the tournament with six matches to be held in Mysore while the remaining matches in M Chinnaswamy Stadium under lights. The tournament will kick off at KSCA stadium on 9th September while opening ceremony will be organized in between the opening match.
