Sheethal Goutham made comeback after losing first set to win the match against Aishwarya Agrawal 4-6, 6-0, 7-5 in the first round of the ITF women’s tennis tournament with prize money of $10,000 in New Delhi on Tuesday.

The 28-year-old Sheethal has played a match in the main draw after a long time of three and a half years, as she had retired from the international tennis after she failed to qualify in three successive tournaments in 2006.

Sheethal lost first set but she leveled the match by winning second set without losing a single point. Sheethal used her experience to win third set and match after trailing by 2-4 in the decider. Sheethal broke serve of Aishwarya in the 11th game and won last next game on her serve at the DLTA complex.

Sheethal will play against the left-handed Isha in next round. Isha registered an easy win against Shweta Rana in her first round match.
