Dipika eases through quarterfinals of WJSCT

Dipika PallikalTop seeded Indian girl Dipika Pallikal has stormed into the quarter finals of the women's single event at the 13th World Junior Squash Championship on Thursday. All top eight seeded players in the tournament won their respective matches to move into the next round.

Dipika has hardly faced any challenge in the tournament yet and the match against Lana Harrison of New Zealand turned out to be another easy outing for her. She defeated her opponent 11-1, 11-7, 11-7 in just 19 minutes and later registered 11-5, 11-7, 11-5 win over Yathreb Adel of Egypt to book her berth in the quarterfinals.

Dipika will now lock horns with the fifth seeded Nouran El Torky of Egypt in the quarterfinal match on Friday. She is not expected to face any challenge till summit clash as she will play her next two round matches against lower raked players.

Meanwhile, India's Surbhi Misra went down to Pakistan's Maria Toor Pakay in the men's single event.
