The rain has delayed the start of the third test match of the Ashes series between England ands Australia at Edgbaston today. England is leading the test series by 1-0 after winning the second test match at the Lords.

Australia is looking towards this match as a chance to equalize series while England will want to take unbeatable lead in the test series by winning this match.

England has been playing this match without their star batsman Kevin Petersen. Kevin was ruled out of the match due to injury. Ian Bell has replaced Kevin in the squad and he was confident to give his best in the match.

Meanwhile, Australia has left out opener Hughes from the playing eleven for this match. All rounder Shane Watson has been included as a replacement for him. Hughes was unable to perform well in last few matches including first two test matches and a practice match.
