England inches towards victory in second testAfter setting a mammoth target of 522 runs, England has been cruising towards victory as Australia lost two wickets for just 76 runs on the board at the lunch on the fourth day of the second test match of the Ashes series at the Lords on Sunday.

Yesterday, England declared their inning at the score of 311/6 with a lead of 521 runs with the help of quick 61 runs by the wicket-keeper Matt Prior while Paul Collingwood contributed 54 runs with bat.

N Hauritz took three wickets and P Siddle showed the way to pavilion to two English batsmen.

Australia got to a bad start on the fourth day as they lost the wicket of Simon Katich (6) on the score of 17 runs while they lost second wicket of P Hughes (17) at the score of 34 runs.

Both wickets were taken by all rounder Andrew Flintoff who had announced to retire from the test cricket after the end of the ongoing Ashes series against Australia.
