Mahmudullah Leads Bangladesh To Historic Win
The five wicket haul by the young spinner Mahmudullah has led Bangladesh to a historic test win by 95 runs against West Indies on the last day of the first test match at St Vincent.
Chasing a target of 277 runs, West Indies batsmen struggled throughout the second inning as they bundled out for just 181 runs on the board with D Bernard as top scorer who made unbeaten 52 runs.
The spinner has been the key for their win as Mahmudullah and Shakib-ul-Hasan took eight wickets collectively to return the second-string team of the West Indies, as their main players have refused to play in the International cricket as West Indies Players Association (WIPA) has boycott this series over a contract and payment issue.
This was the second win of Bangladesh in the test matches after four years and six months of their first ever in the test match.
Tamim Iqbal was declared man of the match for his brilliant ton in the second inning with the help of which Bangladesh scored 345 runs.
