Venus Advances Into The Grand FinaleThe third seeded Venus Williams has stormed into the grand finale of the women’s single event of the Wimbledon championship after defeating World no 1, Dinara Safina in the semifinal in London on Thursday.

Venus showed her dominance on the grass court as she won the match against Safina in the straight sets by 6-1, 6-0 which lasted for just 51 minutes.

Venus outplayed Safina as she won the first set with losing only one game while in the second set Venus made a clean sweep and won the set without losing even a single game.

The top seeded Safina, who has not won even a single Grand Slam title, made 17 unforced errors in the match as compared to one by her opponent.

Venus will now play against her sister Serena Williams in the grand finale of the Wimbledon championship.
