Injured Watson likely to be replaced
Australia team has been considering on the option of replacing injured Shane Watson in the Australian squad for the Ashes Test series against England which is going to start from 8th July.
Watson has been suffering from knee injury due to which he also missed Australia's practice match against Sussex which started today at Hove.
Australian skipper Ricky Ponting said that they are considering the option of replacing injured batsman Watson and Chris Rogers, the Derbyshire captain may be included in their squad as he was second leading run scorer in the Sheffield Shield last winter.
Although Ponting was still hopeful that Watson would be fit for final warm-up game against England Lions at Worcester which will start from July 1.
Watson missed the Ashes series last year also due to a hamstring injury.
Meanwhile, Sussex has sold more than 20,000 tickets for the four days' play against Australian team including a sell-out on Friday.
