ICC conducts dope test of Afridi
A surprise dope test of Pakistan's all-rounder Shahid Afridi was conducted by the International Cricket Council (ICC) on Sunday after the end of final match of ICC T20 World Cup at the Lords.
ICC officials called Afridi for a surprise dope test after the conclusion of the final match in which Pakistan defeated Sri Lanka by 8 wickets to win the ICC T20 World Cup title.
Shahid Afridi was declared man of match in the final for his brilliant inning of 54 runs not out and one wicket against their sub-continental rivals Sri Lanka at the Lords yesterday.
ICC regularly conducts dope test of the cricket players on random basis and this dope test of Shahid Afridi was a part of ICC's routine practice in which any cricketer could be called for such a test during any ICC event.
