Sania loses in semifinal of Aegon Classic

Sania loses in semifinal of Aegon ClassicIndian tennis ace Sania Mirza crashed out of the Aegon Classic with a prize money of USD 220,000 in Birmingham on Saturday.

Sania has been defeated by 13th seeded Magdalena Rybarikova of Slovakia by 3-6 6-0 6-3 in the semi-final of the Aegon Classic.

Sania was brilliant during first set of the match as she won the set by 6-3 but in second set Magdalena completely outplayed Sania as she won the set without losing even a single game.

The dominance of Magdalena continued in the third set as she won the set by 6-3 and stormed in to the finals of the Aegon Classic.

Sania will now play in semifinal of the doubles with her Chinese Taipei partner Chia-Jung Chuang against top-seeded pair of Cara Black and Lizel Huber in the Aegon Classic.

Sania has gained 130 ranking points in singles and she also won prize money of USD 10,000 from this Aegon Classic tournament.
