Madrid - Spanish Liga club Espanyol announced on Tuesday that the contract of Carlos Kameni, which expires on June 30, has been extended until 2013.

The Cameroon goalkeeper, aged 25, has usually been first choice at Espanyol since joining them in 2004. This season he helped them to move up out of the relegation zone and finish 10th.

On Monday, Espanyol, who will move to a new stadium in August, announced that Argentine coach Mauricio Pocchettino will be with them for two more seasons. (dpa)
