Man rapes former girlfriend to scare her into locking her door
Adelaide, Jun 9 : A man, who wanted to scare his former girlfriend into locking her doors at night, is said to have bound her arms and legs together before raping her with a large sex toy.
The man, who cannot be named for legal reasons, then got a beer from the fridge and poured it on her body before apologizing and then driving her to work in Hindley Street, reports Adelaide Now.
The man pleaded not guilty to two counts of rape, two counts of attempted rape, and one count of aggravated serious criminal trespass.
As revealed by prosecutor Phil Crowe to a Supreme Court jury, the man broke into the victim's northern suburbs home, wearing vinyl gloves and a beanie, just before 5.30am on December 21, 2007.
Crowe said the man insisted he did it because he "was trying to scare the victim so she would make sure she locked up (the house) properly."
The woman suffered a cut lip, and bruised shoulders and arms from the alleged attack.
Defence lawyers told the jury that they would be asked to consider whether the man believed the acts were consensual.
The trial is expected to last three days. (ANI)
