International Master Deep Sengupta has won the premier category (under 25) title with six points in fourth edition of Chess for Youth in Netaji Indoor Stadium at Kolkata.

Chess for Youth is a one hour rapid chess tournament in Swiss format which is organized by Dibyendu Barua Chess Academy (DBCA) in association with Allsport Management.

Deep won this title in seven rounds and won prize money of Rs 15,000.

Bitan Banarjee and Joydeep Dutta secured joint second spot with 5.5 points each. This tournament also included competition among five age-group categories in the junior section.

Deep is a brilliant player and had also won world under 12 championships earlier.
