geneOmbio bags entrepreneurship award for 2008
A Pune-based bio-technology company geneOmbio Technologies has bagged the prestigious Indian Steps and Business Incubators Association (ISBA) entrepreneurship award 2008. The award was handed over to the company at Chennai.
The award was given to geneOmbio for its excellent business achievements as a biotechnology and life sciences company of science and technology park (STP), University of Pune. The founder and director (Research and Projects) Bikash Aich and the director-general of STP Rajendra Jagdale received the award from the minister for higher education in Tamil Nadu.
The third annual conference of ISBA on `Business Incubation: Creating Economy through Entrepreneurs and incubation' was held at Chennai. geneOmbio Technologies is engaged in the work related to human molecular diagnostics and veterinary genetics. The company has a department of scientific and industrial research (DSIR) approved laboratory.
Founder and managing director of the company Sachin Purohit said the ISBA award was a national recognition for the company.
