Next breaking the refund rules

Next breaking the refund rulesAccording to an investigation report, the firm "Next" has violated the refund rules of the consumer law for online deliveries. The firm has been failing to refund the delivery charges applied for the goods which are bought online but returned within seven days.

The report has also found that the staffs of various mail order firms are disclosing wrong information about the refund policies of their companies.

As per the Distance Selling Regulations (DSRs), a customer who returns the goods within seven days of delivery should get the full refund and the delivery charge also.

Such rules were brought into inception by the year 2000 to assist and defend the customers as they might not be able to investigate the goods prior buying them as the high end profile shoppers.

However the law does not wraps the cost of giving back the unwanted items. It is been witnessed that the "Next" has been violating the rules by taking the delivery costs from to the customers even if the goods are given back to them within the seven days time period.

When "Next" was asked about this issue the firm has said that it would change its policy from the start of August.
