New York student brings gun to his middle schoolAuthorities have informed that a New York student allegedly brought a gun to his middle school on Tuesday then left and tried to carjack a passing car before being arrested.

LoHud. com has reported that the boy, a student at Orangetown Middle School in Blauvelt, was in police custody after the incident.

Police have said that no one was injured, the gun was confiscated and no other weapons were found at the school.

The boy tried to commandeer his car at a stop sign, but he recognized the gun as a pellet gun and refused to get out, said Chris Rae of Blauvelt.

Adding he began to drive away to report the incident, Rae said, "I said, 'What, are you, kidding me?'"

Rae then saw another man had gotten out of a car and had the boy on the ground as Orangetown police officers arrived.

LoHud. com further reported that the man who wrestled the boy to the ground is a retired New York City police officer.
