New German economics minister sworn in
Berlin - Germany's new economics minister, Karl-Theodor zu Guttenberg, was sworn in to office Thursday, completing the handover after his predecessor Michael Glos had asked Saturday to step down.
The 37-year-old rising star within the Christian Social Union (CSU), Bavaria's sister party to Chancellor Angela Merkel's Christian Democrats (CDU), took his oath of office in parliament. (dpa)
