Leading Media firm of the country NDTV has announced its first quarter financial results for the fiscal year 2010-11. The company has informed that it has incurred a huge loss in the quarter under review.

It has suffered a net loss of Rs 31.11 crore during the April-June period of fiscal year 2010.  However, the company has managed to reduce its loss in this quarter against its like period a year ago.

The net loss of the firm was reported to be Rs 83.41 for the similar quarter in the previous financial year. This has been informed by NDTV in a statement. So far as the consolidated income of the firm is concerned, it was reported to be Rs 83.56 crore in the quarter that ended 30th June of this year.

The company has informed that, NDTV has suffered a net loss this time due to the Indian Premier League, the FIFA World Cup Football and some of the other sporting events.

However, the company is anticipating a huge growth in the upcoming quarters.
