National Broadband Network Announces Five Test SitesAmong the first to try the high speed broadband internet in Australia would the people from the town of Willunga in South Australia and the inner-city sophisticates of Brunswick in Melbourne.

The 43 billion dollar National Broadband Network will be tested at the 5 locations before it is finally rolled out for the public. The design and construction methods will be thoroughly tested. Parts of Townsville in the marginal seat of Herbert represented by Liberal MP Peter Lindsay, the coastal communities of Minnamurra and Kiama Downs, which fall within the seat of Gilmore represented by Liberal MP Joanna Gash and an area to the west of Armidale, NSW, in the New England electorate of independent Tony Windsor are the 5 sites.

Stephen Conroy, the communications minister is really excited about the announcement of testing and has termed it as an important milestone in the way of preparing the fastest broadband network across Australia and the testing would provide crucial and much helpful information before the rollout. The NBN Company will be in a direct competition after this project with the giant Telstra.
