Narayana Hrudayalaya Ready To Open Four 5,000 Bed Health Cities In The Country Kiran Mazumdar Shaw promoted Narayana Hrudayalaya (NH) announced that it would establish four 5,000 bed health cities in the country.

NH CMD Dr. Ashutosh Raghuvanshi stated, "We shall build four more 5,000 bed health cities in India, apart from Bangalore and Ahmedabad. These shall offer medical care facilities in heart, kidney and cancer. One city each is planned in Jaipur and West Bengal, while two shall come up on the outskirts of Kolkata"

Dr. Ashutosh added that they have already acquired land for the Jaipur venture and project for West Bengal has entered in concluding stages of negotiation.

Dr. Ashutosh also said that the health city in Jaipur is likely to be functional by 2015.

Today, the Narayana Hrudayalaya group dedicated a 300-bed medical institution at Rakhiyal in Ahmedabad, which is initial stage of the 5,000 bed health city project being set up with a total investment of Rs 600 crore.

It will be kicked off by Gujarat CM Narendra Modi today.

The Ahmedabad facility has potential to deal 10,000 patients on a daily basis.

The group has set a determined objective of having a 30,000 bed capacity on low cost model in 100 towns crosswise the nation, having population between half a million to one million, and presently working without a heart hospital.
