Mumbai molestation case: Identification parade of 14 accused today
Mumbai, Jan 5: All the 14 men arrested on suspicion of being involved in the molestation of two women on New Year’s Eve will be put through an identification parade here today.
The two photographers, who were present at the crime site, have also been called for the identification, besides an assistant police commissioner and a police constable.
The men, who were arrested on Thursday midnight, were released on bail.
On December 31, as the two women walked out of J W Marriott hotel at 1.45 a. m. with two male friends, a mob of about 70 men started teasing them.
When one of the women swore loudly at the hooligans, the mob pounced on them and the two women were molested by the mob.
National outrage followed the incident, but the police lodged an FIR only after massive public pressure.
The State Government ordered that a special fast track court hear the case. (ANI)
