More soccer teams may follow the Mahindra route

Mahindra-UnitedAfter Mahindra United was disbanded and decided to not be the part of the I-league next season onwards, the move came as one of the biggest shocks to the Indian soccer.

However, experts believe that there could be more names that could take the Mahindra route in the coming times.

The critics are supporting the fact that top bars of most of the company-backed clubs are extremely unhappy with the way the I-League is being run by the All India Football Federation (AIFF) and if many more names decide to choose the Mahindra way as the future, it wouldn't be a great surprise.

In fact, Mahindra has decided to focus on the grassroots levels to develop talent for the game which could provide sustainable growth to the Indian football.

Most of the sponsors are of a view that The I-League is without any charm and value and not run professionally at all and staying for the long-run with the league may not prove to be a good option as it takes a huge sum of money to be associated with the league.
