US-based IT service provider Mindlance has decided to establish a development centre in the pink city Jaipur as part of its India strategy centering on smaller cities.

Mr. Kamal Sharma, business unit head at Mindlance, said, "Jaipur is fast emerging as a key IT services destination due to its best-in-class infrastructure, an extremely supportive government and availability of talent. It complements our plan to expand our operations in tier-2 cities in India and will deliver competitive advantage to Mindlance."

The development centre with 100-150 staff will be ready within three months to one year time hinging upon the execution of different requirements.

The Jaipur center was is in proportion to Mindlance's growth plan in India with focus on tier-2 cities other than tier-1 cites.

Mr. Sharma added in case there is any tragedy in tier-1 city, then with the assitance of tier-2 city centers, unhampered services can be supplied to the customers.

Mr. Sharma also said that the company has acquired seven enterprise clients during the last two months.

Mindlance established shop in the Indian market in the year 2003, catering to worldwide and Indian clients.

In India, Mindlance is serving clients from IT, ITES, manufacturing and education verticals. (With Inputs from Agencies)
