Militants operating in India have Pak links: Jaiswal
New Delhi, Mar 4 : The Union Minister of state for Home Affairs, Sriprakash Jaiswal, today said that enough inputs are available to prove that militant outfits operating in the country have links with terror groups from across the border mainly Pakistan and Pakistan occupied Kashmir.
Jaiswal informed the Lok Sabha that Lashkar -e- Tayyeba, Jaish-e- Mohammed, Harkat-ul-Jihad, Hizbul Majahideen, and Al-Badr are the groups involved in terrorist activities in India that have international networks.
Close vigilance and surveillance is being maintained on the borders to check and control possible infiltration of terrorist elements into India, he added.
Referring to the steps taken to check these groups, Jaiswal said security and intelligence agencies closely monitor the activities of these groups and relevant information is being shared with the State Governments.
He said action is being also initiated at the international level through bilateral and multi lateral co-operation to counter terrorist groups. (ANI)
