Microsoft India offers online solution for SMEs in textile sector
Microsoft has recently introduced online for the textile manufacturing SMEs in Tirpur. Tirpur Exporters' Association will avail the services of Microsoft's Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV), G-Tech Info Solutions (Intl.) Pvt. Limited (GTISPL), under the endorsement of Project Vikas.
According to a press release, the solution package provided by the Microsoft includes an Online Desktop by Airtel, Hosted Email by Global Outlook and Unified Communications by Wipro. The online solution will help the manufacturers to select the relevant hosted solutions and take advantage of the 'pay per use' model, instead of installing an on-premise solution.
The company has kept the starting price of the package at Rs. 250, which will vary according to the need and usage of the user.
The Chairman of Microsoft India, Mr. Ravi Venkatesan informed that although the Indian SME sector holds a large scope for the growth, its growth has constantly been hindered by the many problems, mostly the technological problems. And Microsoft is poised to tackle these problems by providing the SMEs with relevant technology at affordable prices.
Regarding the issue, the president of Tirupur Exporters' Association, Mr. A. Shaktivel said, "Over the last 19 years, TEA has been working closely with the government, industry and solution partners to help the textile exporters and manufacturers in Tirupur grow their businesses through technology adoption."
Mr. Shaktivel further added that the these new hosted online solution will stimulate the textile manufacturers in Tirpur to adopt IT for employing best business solutions at an affordable price in order to enhance their productivity with the help of a 'pay as you go' model.
