Massive fire broke out in Delhi tire market
At Bara Hindu Rao tyre market on Saturday morning a major fire broke out and wrath on for more than 8 hours obliterating over 50 shops. 35 fire tenders were being called to drench the flames that commenced around 2.45am, which sparked due to a short circuit. However no one was hurt in the accident.
Further the Fire department officials expressed that it was hard to put the fire under regulation as the tyres are manufactured out of carbon black, rubber and rubber chemicals which activated the blaze. Approximately
3500 tyres might have decomposed in the fire, as per S P Singh, the president of the Delhi Tyre Association.
He added that this has exaggerated the living of many traders in the market that has been operating out of this place since two decades now.
Since then these are the shops entailed in the job of selling used tyres, without any insurance cover for them.
Singh also commented that the entire earning for these people is from this occupation only which has been lost. With the prices of latest and old tyres soaring up, re-settlement seems quite impossible for many.
