Malaysian teen falls to her death while sneaking out of home

MalaysiaKuala Lumpur - A Malaysian teenager fell to her death while she was trying to climb down a blanket tied to the window of her 11th floor apartment, a news report said Monday.

Nurul Farah Mazlan, 17, was believed to have lost her grip before she fell down 11 floors during the early Sunday incident.

The teen's parents had forbidden her to meet up with a friend living one floor below their home, prompting her to attempt sneaking out, the Star daily reported.

Residents of the building told police they heard a loud thud and found the young woman groaning in pain on the ground. She was rushed to a nearby hospital where she died hours later. (dpa)
