L&T Pockets 4 Electrical Orders Worth Rs 56.82 Billion
Electrical and Gulf Projects Operating Company, a part of L&T's construction segment, has pocketed orders worth Rs 5.82 billion for 4 electrical projects in India and United Arab Emirates.
The further details of projects pocketed by the company from its various clients are as follows:
The first order worth Rs1.55 billion has been received from Tamil Nadu Electricity Board, Chennai. The project, which is projected to be finished in 10 months, will transmit power from North Chennai Thermal Power Station Stage II to Almathy 400 kV Substation.
The second order for building of 765/400 kV Air Insulated Substation at Unnao (UP) for UPPTCL at Lucknow, via Crompton Greaves Limited, Gurgaon - the Main Contractor, is priced at Rs 900 million.
The first phase of the project will be finished by March 15, 2011 and the other phase by July 31, 2011.
The third order worth Rs 700 million for setting up a gas-insulated switchyard at Tuticorin from NLC Tamilnadu Power Limited (NTPL). It is likely to be finished in 34 months in a phased manner for different packages.
The fourth order worth Rs 2.67 billion is for gas-insulated sub-stations in United Arab Emirates. The order is said to be finished in a tight frame construction schedule of 13-15 months.
At 2:09 p. m., shares of L&T surged 0.8% to trade at Rs 1,456 on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE). The share price has seen a 52-week high of Rs 1800 and a low of Rs 565.10 on BSE.
Current EPS & P/E ratio of the stock stood at 49.48 & 29.43 respectively.
