Kool-Aid Man to get a makeover

Kool-Aid Man to get a makeoverKool-Aid Man, the mascot of the powdered drink brand, is all set to get a makeover as the company aims to refresh its image in the minds of the customer and offer a new product.

The Kool-Aid Man will now be a computer-generated character and will be represented by celebrity showing that he is a normal person. In earlier ads, the Kool-Aid was played by celebrities who simply crashed through a wall with a smiley face. The new character will continue to crash through walls and will also promote a new liquid mix from the company.

Kool-Aid is now offering a new liquid mix, which was launched in January in the country. The company is aiming to replicate the success of its liquid flavour enhancer called MiO, which is mixed with water for flavour. Erica Rendall, senior brand manager at Kraft Foods Group said that the new ads will aim at filling the gaps in the character allowing customers to relate to the Kool-Aid Man in a better man.

The Kool-Aid Man was created in 1954 and has taken on various looks during several years. Kraft Foods said that the character was previously given a major makeover in the year 2000.
