Kohli leads India to win over South AfricaIndia has won the title of Emerging Players Tournament after defeating South Africa in the final match at the Allan Border Field in Brisbane on Saturday. Virat Kohli was hero of the match, who scored brilliant century to led India to 17 runs win over South Africa.

Kohli's 104 off 102 balls and wicket-keeper Wriddhiman Shah's 74 off 59 balls helped India to put up 283 runs on the board in 50 overs after South Africa won the toss and elected to field first.

Chasing target of 284 runs, the South Africans returned to pavilion for just 266 runs on the board in 46.2 overs.

Sudeep Tyagi picked up four wickets for 72 runs. This was first match lost by South Africa after eight successive wins in the tournament.

Indian team was once struggling against the tall South African bowler Lonwabe Tsotsobe, who picked up 5 wickets for 69 runs.

But Kohli and Shah played brilliantly to put up a decent total on the board.

Kohli was declared man of the match for his brilliant century.
