KKR still to name coach and captain

Kolkata Knight Riders Indian Premier League franchise Kolkata Knight Riders has not yet named its new captain and coach for the next season of the cash rich tournament.

KKR finished at the last spot in the IPL-2, which was held in South Africa earlier this year. After the poor performance of team, the team management sacked Coach John Buchanan. John was also criticized for his multi-captaincy theory.

Team chief executive Joy Bhattacharya admitted that there are five candidates for the captainship post but they would name coach of the team before taking any decision regarding team composition.

Under Buchanan's guidance KKR was able to win only 3 matches out of total 14 matches that they played in the IPL-2. New Zealand wicketkeeper-batsman Brendon McCullum was captain of the team and he struggled with his form throughout the tournament.

Ganguly is the strongest contestant for the captainship position and former India coach John Wright is likely to be named as new coach of the team although New Zealand Cricket has denied the reports..
