Kingfisher’s Mumbai-Bangalore flight returns to Mumbai due to technical snag

Kingfisher-airlinesThe malfunctioning of the landing gear forced a Mumbai to Bangalore flight, of the Kingfisher Airlines, to resort to an emergency landing within minutes of its take off on Tuesday.

Going by the information forwarded by sources 'in the know' of the proceedings, the Bangalore-bound Kingfisher Flight IT 103 was carrying 98 passengers. Preliminary reports have revealed that within twelve minutes of its take off, a technical snag in the landing gear was reported to the Air Traffic Control (ATC).

Maneesh Kalghatgi, a spokesman for the Mumbai International Airport Ltd, said that all the passengers onboard the flight were safe, as it made a normal landing at the airport, which had declared an emergency landing to assist the plane's return.

Kalghatgi specified: "The flight took off at 9.05 a. m. for Bangalore and returned at 9.17 a. m. due to its landing gear not retracting."

As per the most recent reports, the concerned authorities had already started working at the problem that the Kingfisher plane supposedly faced. Meanwhile, the passengers of the flight were taken to the visitors' lounge to board another flight to Bangalore.
