Karnataka sustains top spot
Karnataka sustained their top position after winning gold and bronze medals on the fourth day of the 36th Junior National aquatics championships as their medal tally raised to 48 medals including 26 gold, 15 silver and seven bronze medals in Jaipur on Friday.
Navya Shenoy and Sushaka Pratap of Karnataka won gold and bronze medal in the girls' 800m free style (group I) respectively as Navya registered a timing of 9:46.59 while Sushaka recorded timing of 9:51.09 to finish at the third spot.
While Srishti Tondon, the local girl won the silver medal as she finished with the timing of 9.46.90 to rise her medal tally 4 medals including 3 silver medals and a bronze medal.
Navya speaking on her performance said that she could have done better today and Sushaka was worried about her only while Srishti came up with a surprise performance.
On the other hand, Srishti said that she has started to win medals at the national level as the workout at Khazan Singh Academy in Delhi for more than a month has helped her to raise her performance and she has been hoping to do much better in the future.
