Jodhaa Akbar Gets 'BAFTA Award' Nomination
After mesmerizing Indian viewers, Ashutosh Gowariker-directed historic genre ‘Jodhaa Akbar’ has won laurels enthralling judges and audiences at BAFTA awards in London.
Ash and Hrithik starrer ‘Jodhaa Akbar’ has been nominated in the Best Foreign film category of the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) awards in London.
Gowariker, who is presently shooting for ‘What’s your Rashee’ with Priyanka and Harman, said if ‘Jodhaa Akbar’ gets this award, it will be yet another compliment for the film after getting the honors at the Sao Paulo film festival and the Golden Mibar festival in Kazan, Russia.
He added that well known film critic Mike Goodridge of Screen International has expressed his admiration for the film by saying, “I loved it; I could have easily watched another hour!”
The final list of the nominations for the BAFTA awards will be declared on January 15 with the ceremonial occasion itself being staged at the Royal Opera house in London on February 8.
