On Wednesday, Ishaque Eqbal, who has been a trainee of CLTA, has stormed into the semifinals of the three categories in the AITA Talent Series Tennis Tournament, which has been organized at the CLTA courts, Sector 10 and Lake Club courts.

Eqbal has outplayed Karandeep Singh of CLTA in the straight sets by 6-2 6-3 in the U-12 boys' singles category with the help of his emphatic serve, and booked his berth in the semifinals.

In the U-14 singles event, Eqbal has registered a victory in straight sets over the sixth seeded Sean Yip of CLTA by 6-2, 6-3 to move into the semifinal.

The dream run of Eqbal continued as in the U-14 doubles event Eqbal and his partner Sachin Kumar stormed into the semifinals after defeating the pair of Shrey Gupta and Santbir Singh by 4-2, 4-0 on the same day.

The Eqbal-Sachin duo has faced tough competition in the first set from their opponents but they won the second without losing even losing a single game.
