Ireland upsets Bangladesh
Ireland has defeated Bangladesh in a pool match of the ICC T20 World Cup at Trent Bridge and advanced in to super eight round of the ICC T20 World Cup.
Ireland skipper WTS Porterfield won the toss and elected to field first against Bangladesh.
Bangladesh batsmen struggled against brilliant bowling performance of Irish bowlers and could only manage 137/8 in 20 overs.
DT Johnson took three wickets for Ireland and Mashrafe Mortaza was top scorer for Bangladesh who scored 33 runs in just 16 balls.
NJ O'Brien (40) and KJ O'Brien (39 not out) helped Ireland to chase the target of 138 in just 18.2 overs. NJ O'Brien was declared man of the match for his brilliant batting performance.
Earlier Bangladesh had lost their match against current world champions India on Saturday.
