Injured Ryder pulls out of IPL-3

Jesse_RyderNew Zealand all-rounder Jesse Ryder has pulled out of the third edition of cash rich and lucrative Indian Premier League (IPL-3) due to groin injury.

New Zealand Cricket (NZC) official reported that Ryder has not yet fully recovered from the injury and he will miss the IPL-3 to get fit for the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup to be held in West Indies in May this year.

Speaking to the media, Aaron Klee, Ryder's manager, said that Jesse is very disappointed to be not able to play in the IPL-3 but he did not want to aggravate his groin injury by playing before getting fully fit. He added that it is better to miss one tournament to recover from injury instead of missing both events due to injury.

Ryder will undergo rehabilitation process at the NZC High Performance Centre in Christchurch with NZC medical and coaching staff from the next month.
