Injured Murali Ruled Out Of Second Test
The Sri Lankan spinning maestro Muttiah Muralitharan has been ruled out of the second test match against Pakistan, as he admitted that he has not recovered from the knee injury, which he sustained during a practice match last week.
Due to knee injury Muralitharan also missed the first test match, in which Sri Lanka registered a dramatic win by 50 runs after bundling out Pakistan on 117 runs at Galle on Tuesday.
Muralitharan said that he has not yet recovered from the knee injury, and he thinks that he will not be able to recover before second test match so he has ruled himself out.
Rangana Herath was named as replacement for Muralitharan by the Sri Lankan team selectors who played a major role in the victory of Sri Lanka in the first test match with claiming four wickets in the second inning, and he was declared man of the match.
The second test match between Sri Lanka and Pakistan will start from 12th July at Colombo with Sri Lanka leading the three test match series by 1-0.
