Indian Women Hockey team crushes Belarus 6-0
Indian women hockey team has thumped Belarus 6-0 in their Group D match at the junior women's hockey World Cup on Wednesday. Indian striker Rani Devi slammed a hat-trick to help India register an empathic win.
Indian team has booked its berth in the second round after this win as Indian team is placed at the top spot in their pool.
Roselin Dung Dung opened the account of Indian team in 16th minute while Poonam Rani and Ritu Rani scored one goal each in 38th and 51st minutes respectively. Rani Devi scored three consecutive goals in 53rd, 54th and 58th minutes of the match.
Indian team dominated the game in both halves of the match. Belarus team substituted their goalkeeper with Yauheniya Letsko, but it did not work for them.
India will now play against USA in their last league match on Thursday.
