Indian squash team enters into semifinals

squashIndian girl's squash team has reached into the semifinal of World junior girls' team championship after beating Canada 2-1 on Thursday. Indian team will now clash with Hong Kong, China in the semifinal on Friday.

Anwesha Reddy went down to Kemberley Hay in three games as Canada took 1-0 lead in the match. Anwesha, who was left out in last match, was looking off color in the match and Hay cashed upon her errors to win the crucial points.

India's No. 1 player, Dipika Pallikal defeated Laura Gemmel in the second match to level the match 1-1. Surbhi Mishra won the decider match against Jennifer Pelletier in four games to help India to register win over Canada by 2-1.

In the other semifinal, the top seeded Egypt will take on the fifth seeded USA on Friday. Egypt defeated Malaysia while USA outplayed England in their respective quarterfinal matches on Thursday.
